Chehaanłaamo! (Hello!) My name is Charlie Osceola

I’m based in Southwest Florida, where I studied Theater at Florida Gulf Coast University and earned my BA. I’ve worked on theater productions in the costume department at FGCU and also have worked at small haunts in my hometown area as well as short films.

My love and passion for art and design started young from the influences of my culture, I grew up on the Big Cypress Seminole Reservation where I was taught to bead and sew my my Great Grandmother, Grandmother and Mother, their influence alongside my Fathers love for Special Effects and Film is what drove me to want to study Theater and Film and begin to work on the Makeup and Costume side of things.

Special Effects (Makeup)

I’ve worked on Special Effects (SFX) on both myself and others., the current shop I work at is A.E.O studios where I’ve worked on sculpting, molding and casting prosthetics (face and dental), masks, and props. You can see my work here

Editorial (Makeup)

When working on Editorial looks I take the time to design and create to get the most out of my looks, I tend to start with a drawing and plan for what I want and workshop it as I go. I like to create looks for all different face shapes and skin tones as I think everyone is a perfect canvas. You can find looks I’ve created here

Costume Design

I’ve worked as both a Costume Designer and Costume Assistant in both live theater and film settings. Both environments have their challenges and while similar in some ways they are vastly different in others and I’ve gained an appreciation for both and am definitely up to working in both settings in the future.
